Uruguay vs. South Africa @ El Gaucho

In Anaheim, home of the happiest place on Earth (Disneyland) is El Gaucho Meat Market. It's an international market that specializes in meat, deli, wine, beer and other products from across Central and South America.

It has a small sit-down deli area with three TVs where people can enjoy Argentine empanadas and sandwiches while watching the World Cup. The owner of the market hails from Uruguay, it was the perfect atmosphere to be in for today's match. Not only were there Uruguayans cheering on their home team but Argentines, Chileans, and Mexicans also gathered here for World Cup fever.

Uruguay scored 1 of the 3 goals in the first 27 minutes and at halftime the score was 1-0.

Argentine soccer fan, Facundo Otoño, talked about the game during halftime. He spoke in Spanish because he said his English wasn't very good. He admitted that he wasn't rooting for either team but was mainly there because of El Gaucho's sandwiches. He predicted Uruguay would win the game and score two more goals. When asked who he thought would win the world cup he said, "If I knew I'd be in Las Vegas making bets."

Co-Owner, Jean Carlo Patti, was very happy about how the Uruguayan team was playing, he hoped they would end up winning the game. Patti mentioned Uruguay's last match against France and how the played more defensibly and safely, he said "Uruguay, with one goal, they can't sit back and play defense they got to come out and score again."

Patricia DiDonato, a regular at El Gaucho said "Uruguay is playing very well, I don't see South Africa playing very strong like they did in their first game so of course I think Uruguay will win." DiDonato has been watching the games at El Gaucho since the world cup started last Friday. Many people gather here during lunch time and DiDonato has been coming for years, she enjoys the food as well as the atmosphere.
Uruguayan, Diego Clarens was very happy about how his team played today. He didn't think Uruguay would do as well as they did. Clarens also comes here often to watch games.

Here's a video of the fan reactions every time Uruguay scored.
